Alli and Mike had such a beautiful day for their summer wedding in Buffalo. The girls started the day at the home where Alli grew up, surrounded by family and childhood memories. They brunched and sipped champagne as the Alyssa & Carina glam squad got everyone wedding ready. All the ladies looked beautiful and even had cute matching pajamas to make getting ready together that much more fun! The bridesmaids looked amazing in Jenny Yoo. The satin Kat dress in the loveliest shade of moss was selected from Bella Bridesmaids in Boston, where Alli and Mike currently reside. Alli wore a custom wedding gown by Mikaella, purchased at Vows Bridal. She combined the top of one dress with the bottom of another for her own unique look and goodness, was it stunning on her! She paired her wedding gown with white satin, jewel encrusted Manolo Blahniks and a relaxed updo. Alli completed her wedding look with a cathedral length, lace veil dating back over 100yrs, worn by Michael’s great grandmother. It was such a sweet sentiment created an ethereal feel. Alli was an absolute dream!
The guys got ready at the Curtis Hotel and wore their own tuxedos with with matching Charles Tyrwhitt tuxedo shirts and matching cufflinks from Iris Studio Jewelry. The groom wore a custom made tuxedo by Enzo in New York, NY. He completed his look with black velvet slippers by Herring.
Alli and Mike were wed in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Joseph Cathedral in downtown Buffalo, NY. Their closest family and friends came together to witness their marriage. It was a beautiful celebration of love. After the ceremony, we took some photographs with the family and headed to the reception venue at Wanaka Country Club. The location seemed to be a perfect fit when we all learned that Mike is a scratch golfer!
All of the details came together beautifully, starting with the ivory and greens selected for the invitation suite crafted by Ashwood Ink. Flowers by Johnny created gorgeous bouquets and table arrangements with ivory and toffee colored roses, white anemones, and touches of cascading greens. Muscoreil’s Fine Desserts curated a dessert table full of the most delicious treats for guests to enjoy. The father of the bride, maid of honor and best man toasted the bride and groom with heartfelt and humorous speeches. There was lots of laughter, a few tears, and an overall feel of joyfulness that these two families were united together. Dinner was served, desserts were enjoyed and Uptown Groove got the party started with first dances as sun set behind the golf course and beautiful orange light streamed onto the dance floor. The Bride and Groom danced and sang along to “Here With Me” and continued with traditional dances with the father of the bride and mother of the groom. Reception dancing was fully underway as everyone was out on the dance floor, singing along with the band and having the best time!
The party is not quite over yet, the happy couple is heading to South Africa for their Honeymoon this fall. We are so excited to hear about their adventures in Cape Town, wine country, safaris and Beach Island. Doesn’t it sound incredible?!
Alli + Mike, it was an absolute privilege to be a part of your love story. I have truly enjoyed getting to know you as a couple. Mary and I loved having the opportunity to meet your sweet families and friends and couldn’t be happier for the two of you. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Houlihan!
