Lauren and Fran both come from a family of 4 siblings and grew up in North Buffalo. What does this mean when you get married? Lot’s of people will be at your wedding!! 261 to be exact, with a wedding party of 22! What a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and dancing. These two amazing people have been together for several years and it was so great to be able to see them celebrate their love for each other with all of their family and friends. The day started with 11 girls getting ready at Lauren’s parents home. Wowza! This is the prettiest bridal party I have ever seen. No joke, you’ll see in the photos! The girls got ready together in matching floral robes and moved on to their gorgeous silvery gray, floor length chiffon gowns with beaded details from Nordstrom. Not your typical bridesmaid dresses! I love these gowns so much!!!! When the flowers arrived, they were simple and beautiful. Fluffy, white peonies and romantic pink and white roses accented the dresses perfectly. And then there was THE Dress… beautiful ivory, sweetheart top and spaghetti straps with a fabulous side bow in front that gave this classic a-line gown just the right touch of flirty.
The ceremony took place at St. John’s in Kenmore. Lauren and Fran had a traditional Catholic marriage, with a few special touches from the priest. The limo bus made its way to Hoyt Lake with some much needed beverages on the way to take some photos. 22 people in tuxedos, gowns, heels and flowers piled out of the bus into the sweltering sun. They were all good sports and we got the photos done quickly so the party on the bus could continue. Lauren and Fran put their own spin on the classic Saturn Club venue. Since there were so many attendees, two rooms were required to seat everyone for dinner. This essentially made the party longer! Everyone congregated in the tented courtyard for cocktail hour, announcement of the bride and groom, and speeches.
There was a quick break to eat dinner, and everyone was back under the tent for the cutting of the cake, first dances, and to party. I definitely cried when Lauren’s father sang to her during their heartfelt dance. I am a sap! And then the rap music started and people Got. Down. This was such a fun wedding, everyone was on the dance floor flashing their moves. This was a Buffalo wedding, so of course, the Shout song from the Buffalo Bills was played and riled everyone up! After a little Sweet Caroline was played, the bride and groom were hoisted up in the air by their friends. The party went well into the after hours with more dancing and even some late night bowling. Following the big event, some recovery time was planned during a tropical honeymoon in St. Lucia. Yes, Please!!
This was certainly a team effort and I want to give a huge thank you to my friend, Mary O’Sullivan, for her amazing work with the guys and for capturing all of the magical moments of this very special day with me!!!
