When should you book your Orlando maternity photoshoot?

We have your answers here! We recommend documenting your pregnancy journey with beautiful maternity portraiture any time after about 26 weeks. Once your belly has “popped”, but you can still walk and move comfortably! We want you to feel relaxed and be able to enjoy your maternity session with some movement and a variety of natural poses.

When should your reserve your maternity session?

When you know you want to work with Rooted Love, please reach out. The earlier we can start planning the details of your session, the better! Planning your Orlando maternity photoshoot early also ensures that we have availability and your date is secured on our calendar. Mamas typically reserve their maternity sessions early in their second trimester.

What should you wear for your Orlando maternity photoshoot?

Clients have access to my tailored collection of beautiful and timeless pieces for mothers & children to choose from. Together we will curate the perfect wardrobe for you and your family. I will design a custom style board to bring your location and the style of your family together for a cohesive and timeless look. My favorite recommendations are to mix neutral colors, subtle patterns and lots of beautiful textures like knits and linen.

I’m not sure I’m loving the way I look. Any suggestions on feeling like myself?

This is not uncommon. Your body is growing, stretching and expanding to create a new life. You may feel sick and exhausted. I remember hating trying on clothes and being too tired to put on makeup. This is why I have created my luxury experience. I have thought of all the details to make your maternity portrait experience stress free. Portraits to celebrate this season should not be a chore. It should be fun! All maternity sessions include hair and makeup for expecting mothers to help you feel like the best version of yourself. The hair and makeup artist will come right to your home before your session so you get to be pampered and know you look your best. I also have a curated collection of gorgeous dresses and gowns that are bump friendly and form flattering to ensure your experience is stress free.

What is the process to reserve a maternity session?

Let’s make magic together! Simply complete the contact form and provide a few details about your dream maternity session. I will send over all of the information about my luxury experience and schedule a complimentary consult call see if we are a good fit! 

You may choose to book a single session or enroll in my Signature Membership to have each milestone documented, from your baby bump to your baby’s first birthday and beyond.

Will you help us plan our maternity photoshoot?

As your Orlando maternity photographer, I will guide you every step of the way through the creative experience. We will have a consultation to achieve your portrait goals, decide on the perfect location and start thinking about the ways you want to display your artwork. I will send you a detailed session guide so you know exactly what to expect, feel confident and prepared for your photos. Together, we will design the ideal look and feel of your session. I will coordinate hair and makeup and start styling your family. All clients booking full sessions have access to my curated client wardrobe for mothers and babies to make outfit planning simple and fun! 

What should you expect during your Orlando maternity photoshoot?

We will have already planned the perfect location for your maternity session, created a cohesive wardrobe for your family and have everything under control. If you have children, let the kids be kids and we will document this season with honesty and beauty. Your only job at the session is to relax and enjoy your time with your family, don’t worry, I’ll make sure you look your best!  

Orlando maternity photography sessions can be photographed in your home, in studio or at an outdoor location of your choice. The softest and most flattering light is 1-2 hours after sunrise or before sunset for outdoor sessions. Indoor sessions take place on weekdays between the hours of 10am and 2pm. Maternity sessions are usually about 45-60 minutes.

How do we get our pictures?

Approximately 3-4 weeks after your session, you will be sent an email to schedule when you would like to see your gallery preview. You will have the opportunity view all your beautiful photos in the comfort of your home. Your gallery preview is available for 48 hours, after which, you will complete your ordering appointment by selecting the artwork and/or digital files you would like to purchase. Gallery wall and album design are always complimentary to help you visualize your favorite images as heirloom pieces of artwork in your home. Once you have completed your ordering appointment, your online gallery will open for 30 days to share with family and friends!

What if my toddler won’t cooperate at our maternity session?

Don’t worry, there is nothing we haven’t seen. It will all be fine. I promise!! Your toddler is experiencing newness as well. We always get the shot. The g// I recommend bringing along a favorite toy that you won’t mind in your photos and some non-messy snacks. Sessions with children are child-led. We will have fun with lots of tickles and snuggles, explore and take breaks for snacks as needed. I recommend a special treat afterwards like going for ice cream or a favorite activity so your little ones are excited about the whole experience. 

What is an intimate maternity session and how do I decide if that is for me?

The transformation of the female body to create new life is an absolute miracle. I will never tire of documenting such beauty. I don’t believe you will ever regret documenting this season with intimate photos, featuring the beautiful transformation of your body.
