The first weeks with a new baby are full in every possible way. You’re feeding, snuggling, healing, adjusting to new routines and getting to know this tiny person who has suddenly changed everything.

Adding a photo session to those first weeks shouldn’t feel like adding another project to your list.

At Rooted Love Photography, I offer in-home newborn photography throughout the Greater Orlando area for families who love the idea of documenting this season without having to leave home.

I come to you.

Your baby can be fed and settled on their own time. Your toddler can stay in familiar surroundings. Your nursery becomes part of the story. And you get to simply enjoy your family while I take care of the rest.

A Newborn Session Without Leaving Home

One of the things my clients love most about an in-home newborn session is simply how easy it can feel.

There’s no diaper bag to pack for an outing, no car to load and no worrying about getting everyone out the door at a particular time.

Everything your baby needs is already there.

If we need another swaddle, it’s down the hall. If your toddler needs a snack, we can grab one. If your baby is hungry, we stop for a feeding. If someone needs a few quiet minutes, we have them.

Your home gives us the freedom to let the session unfold around your family rather than asking your family to adjust to the session.

Especially during those first weeks with a newborn, sometimes staying home is exactly what sounds best.

Your Nursery Becomes Part of the Story

One of my favorite things about photographing newborn sessions at home is that your home becomes part of your baby’s story.

You spent months preparing that nursery.

The crib you chose. The books waiting on the shelf. The rocker where you’ll spend more hours than you can possibly imagine right now. The little details you selected while waiting to meet your baby.

When I photograph your family at home, those pieces naturally become part of your photographs.

Years from now, you won’t only see how tiny your baby was.

You’ll remember where you were.

You’ll see the room you brought them home to. The light coming through the windows. Their big sibling peeking into the crib. The places where some of your earliest memories as a family happened.

Those details may feel ordinary today, but someday they will be part of the story you tell your children.

Room for Your Toddler to Simply Be a Toddler

If there’s an older sibling involved, being at home can be especially wonderful.

Your toddler has their toys. Their snacks. Their favorite spaces. And, most importantly, they can take a break when they need one.

I never expect little children to perform for the camera.

They can climb into your lap, love on the baby, wander away for a few minutes and come back when they’re ready.

Sometimes the photograph I love most happens in one of those in-between moments. A little hand touching the baby’s head. A big sibling climbing onto the bed next to Mom. Everyone laughing because absolutely nothing is going according to plan.

Your children get to be themselves.

That’s what I want to remember for you.

Photographs That Feel Like Your Family

My approach to newborn photography is relaxed and connection focused.

Of course I’ll give you direction. You don’t need to know where to stand, what to do with your hands or how to somehow get your toddler to cooperate while holding a newborn.

That’s my job.

But within that direction, I want there to be room for your family to be your family.

Your baby may sleep through most of the session, or they may decide they would rather eat.

They may stretch, yawn, fuss or curl up against your chest.

Your toddler may give their new sibling the sweetest kiss and then immediately decide they’re done with pictures.

That’s okay.

We’re documenting what this season actually feels like: tiny details, sleepy snuggles, growing relationships and all the love that has filled your home with the arrival of this new little person.

Feeding, Soothing and Your Baby’s Natural Rhythm

Newborns aren’t particularly interested in our schedules, which is why I leave plenty of room for theirs.

Your session typically unfolds over sixty to ninety minutes, giving us time to move at your baby’s pace.

If your baby needs to eat, we pause.

If they need to be changed, we pause.

If they need a few minutes in your arms before they’re ready for anything else, that’s exactly where they should be.

And because we’re in your home, everything you need to care for them is already within reach.

There is no need to rush.

The session is designed around your newborn and your family from the very beginning.

Hair, Makeup and Styling Taken Care of for You

Making your newborn session easy starts long before I arrive with my camera.

You don’t need to spend the last weeks of pregnancy trying to figure out what everyone should wear.

I personally help style your family, and you’ll have access to my curated client wardrobe with beautiful pieces for mothers and babies.

And on the day of your session, professional hair and makeup comes right to your home.

You don’t have to make another appointment, drive somewhere to get ready or stand in your bathroom trying to curl your hair while caring for a newborn.

You get to sit down, have someone take care of you for a little while and feel confident when it’s time to step in front of the camera.

This is one of the most important parts of the Rooted Love experience to me.

You don’t have to do it all yourself.

I’m here to take as much off your plate as I can.

From This Season to Heirloom Artwork

Taking the photographs is only the beginning.

Approximately three to four weeks after your session, we’ll meet for your personalized gallery reveal in the comfort of your home.

You’ll see your photographs for the first time in a curated slideshow, and then I’ll help you decide what you love and how you want to enjoy it.

Maybe there’s one photograph you want to walk past every morning.

Maybe you envision a gallery wall that grows as your children grow.

And your newborn album gives us room to preserve the fuller story: the tiny fingers, the nursery, the sibling snuggles and all of those moments you want to be able to return to.

The walls hold the highlights. The albums hold the story.

Gallery wall and album design are complimentary, so you don’t have to figure out sizing, layouts, framing or album design on your own.

Your artwork is designed for you, and installation is available for families in the Orlando area.

The goal is to actually finish this project for you, so your newborn photographs become something your family lives with and enjoys rather than another task waiting on your to do list.

Your Newborn Session, Planned With Ease

If you’re expecting, you don’t have to wait until your baby arrives to start thinking about newborn photographs.

In fact, I recommend reaching out during pregnancy.

We’ll reserve space around your due date and then finalize the timing once your baby arrives.

That gives us plenty of time to plan everything beforehand, so when you’re in those first sleepy weeks at home with your baby, you aren’t starting a photographer search or trying to organize a photo session.

It’s already taken care of.

And if you know you want to document more than the newborn stage, we can plan that ahead of time, too.

Preserve Your Baby’s First Year From the Beginning

Your baby’s first year is filled with seasons that somehow feel long while you’re living them and impossibly short once they’re gone.

Maternity.

Those tiny newborn days.

The smiles and personality emerging around six months.

And suddenly, a first birthday.

Through the Rooted Love Signature Membership, we can thoughtfully plan your baby’s first year from the beginning.

Instead of remembering a few weeks before each milestone that you need photographs, your sessions are already part of the plan.

You have one photographer who knows your family, one consistent style and a plan for creating artwork that grows along with your children.

You get to spend the year living it.

I’ll help you make sure you can remember it.

INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR NEWBORN SESSION

Frequently Asked Questions About In-Home Newborn Photography in Orlando

Do you offer newborn photography sessions at home in Orlando?

Yes. I offer in-home newborn photography throughout Greater Orlando, including Winter Park and surrounding communities. I come to you so your family can enjoy a relaxed session in the comfort of your own home.

When should I schedule my in-home newborn session?

I recommend reaching out during pregnancy so we have plenty of time to plan your session. We’ll reserve space around your due date and adjust the final session timing once your baby arrives.

Does my home need to look perfect for an in-home newborn session?

Not at all. Your home doesn’t need to be perfectly decorated or perfectly tidy. Before your session, I’ll help you decide which spaces will photograph best based on the light and feel of your home. We typically only need a few beautiful pockets of light and a little room for your family to be together.

What if I have a toddler at home during the session?

They’re absolutely welcome. Being at home gives your toddler the freedom to stay in familiar surroundings, play or take a break when needed. I keep things relaxed and give little ones plenty of room to be themselves.

Will someone help with wardrobe, hair and makeup?

Yes. Styling is part of the full Rooted Love experience. I’ll help coordinate clothing for your family, you’ll have access to my curated client wardrobe, and professional hair and makeup will come directly to your home.

Do you also offer studio newborn photography?

Yes. I offer both in-home and studio newborn sessions, and I’m happy to help you decide which experience feels best for your family. Some families love having their home and nursery become part of their baby’s photographs, while others prefer the simplicity and look of a studio setting. Both can be beautiful ways to preserve this season.

What areas do you serve?
