The Rooted Love Approach to Newborn Photography

My style is honest. Light filled. Film inspired.

I am not interested in heavily posed setups or props that take the focus away from you and your baby. What I am drawn to is the real stuff. The way you instinctively sway when you hold your newborn. A sleepy little yawn. Your partner’s hand resting on your shoulder. The particular way your baby curls into the crook of your neck right where they fit perfectly.

Where you might see ordinary, I see something worth remembering.

Most newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home, where everything your baby needs to feel safe and settled is already there. Some clients prefer a studio setting or a meaningful outdoor location, and I love all of these options. Whatever feels most true to your family is what we will plan together.

Sessions are baby-led, which means we take our time. There is no rush. We feed, we soothe, we let your baby settle into the session at their own pace. Newborn sessions typically run about 60 to 90 minutes, giving us plenty of space to capture all the beauty of this season without exhausting anyone.

Siblings are absolutely welcome and encouraged. The relationship between a new baby and a big brother or sister is one of my favorite things to document. And yes, if your toddler runs off for snacks halfway through, that moment will probably be adorable too.

When to Book Your Orlando Newborn Session

Earlier than you think.

Most mamas reserve their dates during their second trimester, using their due date to hold their newborn session spot. We typically schedule the session for about two weeks after your due date, right in that sweet sleepy window when new babies are at their most curled and snuggly.
